With a softly humanistic approach to photography and filmmaking and an intrinsic sense of ease behind the camera, Yaniv Edry makes images brimming with warmth and youthful energy. Crafting visual atmospheres in which his cast of characters can most authentically be themselves, Edry blends the aesthetic sincerity of candid reportage work with a penchant for imaginative and nostalgia-tinged narratives. With natural lightness and quiet intelligence, he treats image-making as a playground through which to tell stories of human feeling and connection.

Approaching his commissioned work with the same open vision, Edry has shot commercial work for international clients including Isabel Marant, Mango and Louis Vuitton, and editorials for an array of magazines including i-D, W, British Vogue, V, Vogue US and SSAW.

Alongside his commissioned work, Edry has made several personal projects, and often translates them into the photobook form. His first monograph, Tel Aviv - Haifa, shot between 2004 and 2016, is a free-spirited and shimmering journey along the stretch of Mediterranean coast he grew up on. A sell-out limited edition, the photobook documented the unfolding lives of youth in the liminal space between two cities. In 2023 Edry also released this second monograph, Litay’s Garden, an ode to Litay Marcus' passion for her vegetable garden.
